Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter for rich flavor and smooth texture
  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter avoid natural varieties
  • 1 pinch salt to balance the sweetness
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3.5 cups powdered sugar sifted for best texture

Instructions

  • Butter an 8-inch square baking dish or line it with parchment paper. Set aside.
  • In a medium saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter and peanut butter, stirring frequently until it comes to a gentle boil. Remove from heat immediately once bubbling begins.
  • Stir in a pinch of salt and the vanilla extract. Gradually add powdered sugar, mixing until smooth and creamy. The mixture will thicken as the sugar incorporates.
  • Spread the fudge mixture evenly into the prepared pan. Smooth the top with a spatula, press plastic wrap directly onto the surface, and refrigerate for about 1 hour, or until firm.
  • Once fully set, lift the fudge from the pan, cut into small squares, and enjoy!

Notes

  • Use creamy peanut butter for the best texture.
  • Avoid natural types that separate.
  • Sift powdered sugar to avoid lumps.
  • Do not overheat the mixture — remove from heat as soon as it starts to bubble.
  • Let the fudge chill fully before slicing for clean, smooth cuts.
  • Store in the fridge for up to 1 month or freeze for up to 3 months.
