Ingredients
  

For the Salmon

  • 3 fillets salmon skin on, fresh or thawed
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt adjust to taste
  • 0.25 teaspoon black pepper freshly ground, adjust to taste
  • 0.125 teaspoon cayenne pepper optional, for heat
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

For the Honey Garlic Glaze

  • 3 tablespoon honey pure
  • 1 tablespoon warm water
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar or lemon juice
  • 3 cloves garlic freshly minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley chopped, for garnish

Instructions
 

  • Pat the salmon dry with a paper towel. Lightly sprinkle salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper over the fillets. Let them rest while you prepare the sauce.
  • In a small bowl, combine honey, warm water, and apple cider vinegar (or lemon juice). Stir until well mixed into a smooth glaze.
  • Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Place salmon skin-side down and cook for 1 minute. Flip carefully and cook for another minute. Turn back to skin-side down.
  • Add minced garlic to the pan and sauté briefly until fragrant. Pour in the honey glaze and optional lemon wedges. Let simmer until the sauce thickens and coats the salmon.
  • Optional: Broil for 1 minute for a lightly caramelized finish. Sprinkle with chopped parsley and serve immediately.

  • Start with a hot pan to ensure crispy skin.
  • Avoid moving the salmon too early to get a perfect crust.
  • Lower the heat slightly after adding the glaze to prevent burning.
  • Wild-caught salmon adds extra flavor and texture.
