  • 6 pieces boneless, skinless chicken thighs tender and perfect for slow cooking
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 0.33 cup honey
  • 0.5 cup low sodium soy sauce
  • 0.5 cup ketchup
  • 0.5 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley chopped, for garnish
  • 0.5 tablespoon toasted sesame seeds optional, for garnish

Optional Thickener

  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch for slurry to thicken sauce
  • 1 tablespoon cold water

Instructions
 

  • Mix the Sauce
    In a medium bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, ketchup, minced garlic, oregano, and parsley until smooth and well blended.
  • Arrange the Chicken
    Place the chicken thighs in a single layer at the bottom of your slow cooker. Pour the sauce mixture evenly over the top, making sure every piece is coated.
  • Slow Cook to Perfection
    Cover and cook on LOW for 4–5 hours or HIGH for 3 hours, until chicken is tender and easily pulled apart with a fork.
  • Thicken the Sauce (Optional)
    About 30 minutes before cooking ends, whisk together cornstarch and cold water, then stir into the sauce. Cook covered until the sauce thickens and becomes glossy.
  • Serve and Enjoy
    Transfer chicken to a serving dish, spoon sauce over the top, and sprinkle with sesame seeds. Serve over rice or noodles.

Notes

  • For a balanced flavor, add a small splash of rice vinegar or lemon juice before serving if you find the sauce too sweet.
  • Chicken thighs work best for tenderness, but breasts can be used with slightly reduced cooking time.
  • Leftovers reheat beautifully and are great for wraps or rice bowls.
